Take Rush Hour 2, change the location from Hong Kong to Paris and you got Rush Hour 3. The biggest difference was that Chris Tucker’s character is more physical in Rush Hour 3. However, there is a reason for this change. In Rush Hour 1 and 2 he did his own stunts (probably to impress Jackie Chan) but in Rush Hour 3 he uses a stunt double. Jackie Chan is getting older but he still throws himself at every stunt like a mad man! Basically the story takes the pair to Paris to take down the Triad this time by protecting a women who has the knowledge of the Triads’ secret leaders. Lots of funny stuff like a French cab driver who at first hates Americans who ends up caught up in a few of the action scenes and ends up wanting to be an American. There is also a bad ass female enemy that shows up several time during the movie to give Carter and Lee a run for their money and a funny scene where they go up against a giant Kung Fu student that literally picks up and throws the duo around like rag dolls.
If you like the Rush Hour movies then go rent and watch this one, you shouldn’t be disappointed. If you didn’t like Rush Hour 2 then stay away from this one all together. Personally I like the Rush Hour movies when I get in the mood where I want to see crazy, funny, sometimes stupid and over the top action movies.
I give Rush Hour 3: 3 out of 5 ginger stars!
